I have been to Simhachalam late in a winter evening. Everything around was too dark for me to notice anything. We rushed into the temple to check if we had a chance to see the deity there. Yes! We did. The place was silent and more organized. Peaceful, clean and incensed with Sambrani (Benzoin resin) and Sandalwood. Chaos ceased to exist as there were just few people in there. We could comfortably sit relaxed on the floor as we wait for the curtains to rise to get a glimpse of the deity. The beats of mangalaharathi, fragrance of natural flowers and camphor ….. Oh! Every pore on me was relishing the un-contaminated physio-chemical equation there. I could really let my soul soak in this equation. I close my eyes only when my brain can ease off on the physical attributes around. I find the beats of magalaharathi mesmerizing. For sure they can ionize and align my brain if I ease it to let the waves pass through. The sounds set a pulse that can modulate every impulse in our brain thus making a difference. The architecture or the natures visible grace did not make this a great visit but unhampered forces of nature and the timing of deeds did. The few others in the temple along with us were people just out of a meditation session. Tranquility around with peaceful minds and peaceful acts made this visit a special one.
